GuideStone Investment Services is not, and is not required to be, registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or any other regulatory body. GuideStone Investment Services is exempt from registration under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 because it is a charitable organization that serves only other charitable organizations. This exemption was part of the Philanthropy Protection Act of 1995, which was passed to facilitate contributions to charitable organizations by codifying certain exemptions from federal securities laws.
